Our Overall Throw Score is meant to give you an overall assessment for your throw. This score is solely based on your throw. This is not your “overall” rating as a quarterback. Many different things go into playing quarterback asides from throwing including footwork, athleticism, IQ, leadership, decision making, etc.
As a result, you may feel like you should have scored higher or lower than what your rating was… remember this is just assessing your throw. This is non-emotional and is purely looking at the data from your throw.
The important thing is not what your current rating is but how it trends over time (are you improving over time).
The overall score is broken down into the below 4 components:
By capturing all 4 categories we are adequately measuring how well you can accelerate and decelerate, how well you can sequence, and how quickly you can throw the ball.
In addition, this overall score is used for our worldwide leaderboard which lists the top 20 players who have used the platform.
